Cambridge Community Welcomes The Dominican Missionary Sisters

In August the Cambridge Community was joined by the Novice Mistress of the  Dominican Missionary sisters and their novice who is sharing in the Novitiate programme with our sister in formation and the six novices of the Dominican friars.  The formation programme includes among other things an introduction to religious life, seminars on the evangelical counsels of poverty chastity and obedience, as well as a course on the history and charism of the Dominican Order.  As welll as this, the sisters in formation join with the sisters in teh Cambridge Community in all aspects of  the liturgy and life in common, and all the sisters join with the friars for Mass and for Vespers.  This joyful collaboration emphasises the familial aspect of the Dominican Order as well as allowing the friars and sisters to enrich each other by a shared formation.
